The Nifty Boutique is back online!

The Nifty Boutique is back online  after not only host site issues but fraud and bankruptcy on their part.  What a HOT MESS!!  And speaking of a Hot Mess, while the team was waiting on the site to be back up and running, we created a HOT MESS collab.  You can get each and every contribution right from the Nifty Boutique Blog.  There’s been one part already posted and now my part is up too.  I’m going to post MY part here on my blog as well.  Just click on the image to download.

I’ve got a steal of a deal going on right now in my store.  I’m clearing out ALL my stock photography images to make room for new ones.  Until the end of August, you can purchase 32 large high resolution images, taken with my Nikon D90 for only $8.00!  Be sure to get them now before they’re gone for good!  Personal use, Commercial use, and Scrap 4 Hire approved!  Click on the image to purchase.

Thanks for looking and Happy Scrapping!!

Download my “Summer So Fine” Border Clusters HERE.  I’ve uploaded a layout also, using parts of the “Summer So Fine” kit and one of my border clusters so you can see how you can use the borders on one of your own layouts.

Next stop on the Blog Train is Betsy’s “The Busy Elf Designs” blog where you’ll find her Cluster Frames.  If you get lost along the way, just pop on over to the Nifty Boutique’s blog so you don’t miss any of the stops.  Enjoy!!  Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Tell Me What You Want, What You Really Really Want

I think anyone taking Tami’s Blog Challenge for today must’ve been humming that tune while typing their title.  I may be older than some of the gals at GIS but I DO know that tune.  And that was our challenge for today, telling 5 things that we really really want.  So here’s my 5 things:

1) Same as Tami, I’d love to have a heart rate monitor since I’m trying to do some biggest loser exercising and eating healthier foods.  2) I’d love to have a new lens for my Nikon D90, the 70-200mm f/2.8 (this alone would take care of ALL my wishes for an entire year……or two).  3) a new living room suite complete with coffee table and end tables  4) new carpet in the living room  5) the hardwood floor in my foyer refinished.

You know?  I was really having a tough time trying to think of 5 things that I even needed, but once I started making the list, I could add quite a few more.  But I guess if I had to choose just 5, those would be on the top of the list.

Great challenge for today!!

It’s All About Music

March 18th GIS March Blog Challenge is all about music.  I’ve been wanting to do a layout about our music for a while now and this was THE perfect challenge for me to get it done.  So here’s my take on the music blog challenge for the 18th of March.

I used a kit called “Color of Music” by Julie Marie at Gotta Pixel.

Going Green

This is me going green on March 17th for the GIS March Blogging Challenge.  This was the first time I’d ever eaten a traditional St. Patrick’s Day dinner of corned beef and cabbage.  We also added potatoes and carrots.  Not bad!!!  I can do this!!  It was lots of fun!!

Two for Tuesday

Just two questions for me for the March 16th  Blog Challenge.

1) What’s for, or in my case, what WAS for dinner on March 16th.

Easy……….we had a nice hot pot of chili for dinner that night with cornbread on the side!  Mmmmm, good.

2) What are your evening plans, again, in my case, what WERE my evening plans.

Easy, again……..I watched Biggest Loser and American Idol.  Had to keep flipping back and forth, but it’s doable!

Self Portrait

This is a layout I did awhile back of my “self portrait”.  Using a mirror, I took these photos.  So I’m now using it for the GIS March Blogging Challenge from March 13th, still trying to get caught up.  I know, I should’ve taken a current photo, BUT…………this gal needs her hair cut in the worst way!  LOL

Aroma and Memories

The challenge for the 12th of March was to post about smells bringing memories to mind.  Here’s my layout of my great grandmother holding me and my cousin.  I can clearly see O’mama when I smell minute steaks frying.

I will also be posting this layout in the GIS gallery as it goes perfectly with my “My Life Before I Was Your Mother” album.

I used my own kit………Life’s Medley……..that you can purchase at Create Treasured Story Books, link to the store on the righthand side.

GIS Blog Challenge

I am so far behind in my blogging.  I’m going to be trying to get caught up with the Get It Scrapped Blog Challenge for March and this layout is for the March 11th Challenge, using home decor as my inspiration.  The journaling on the layout will explain my inspiration from this home improvement photo I found on the Better Homes and Gardens online site.

I used a portion of the Daily Digi Files #12 kit.  This part was created by SuzyQScraps.  Fonts used are Arial, Segoe Script, and Scriptina.
